Yurt hire
At Acacia Farm, we are proud to bring a little touch of Mongolia to Somerset! We are now offering a Mongolian Yurt to stay in.
This exciting alternative to camping is still (technically) life under canvas but with a little touch of class, proper beds and a solid wooden floor.
A yurt is a single dwelling tent with everything you need in one open area. The centre piece is a double sleigh bed which is flanked by two futons. The inside of each yurt is decorated with Moroccan rugs, wall hangings, cushions and soft furnishings, meaning they are warm comfortable and flexible in their layout.
Our yurt also contains tables and chairs, electric lights, kettles, electric hotplates and, best of all, newly installed log burners. They will sleep up to six adults with two sharing the sleigh bed, two more on single futons and a further two guests on camping mats.
Outside our yurt, you’ll discover a fire pit and bbq so you’ll be able to spend your evenings cooking and star-gazing under the beautiful Somerset night sky. You’ll be able to recline on handmade wooden tables and chairs where there is no light pollution, beautiful views and spectacular star-lit nights.
Once the evening draws to a close, you’ll retreat into the warmth and comfort of your yurt with up to five of your companions and finish the night with a mug of something hot, a log fire and a board game.
The Yurt comes complete with all of the cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils you will need, and have access to a kitchen hut which comes with washing up and refrigeration facilities, and you can even cook there if you wish. It also has a cool box and ice blocks that can be rotated in a freezer near the entrance to the site.
The toilets and showers are located close to the yurt camping site with both fully equipped bathrooms, with a sink, shower and toilet in one room, and separate conveniences available. There is also a utility room with large washing up sinks and plenty of tourist maps and information at the front of the site.
The Acacia Farm yurt is the perfect excuse for a slightly different trip away, be it a family holiday, a romantic break or a getaway with friends. You’ll discover everything you need in unique surrounding which is the perfect setting to create lasting memories under the Somerset sky.
